Selling Costs
There are usually only 3 expenses when selling your home. The real estate commission, GST on the commission and a lawyer or notary’s fees.
- The Real Estate Commission is to be determined with your realtor.
- GST of 5% is payable on the Real Estate Commission. No rebates on GST on Commission.
- Lawyer or Notory fees and expenses for attending to the execution of documents ($500 – $1500).*

- Costs of clearing title, such as discharge fees charged by encumbrance holders and prepayment penalties (costs vary).
